How Halva is Made in Uzbekistan
Halva is made manually, its manufacture mostly concentrated in rural area. The secrets of traditional recipes are passed from generation to generation. The production of halva is usually a long process involving the best cooks of a village. The components are being stirred incessantly in large kazans (cauldrons) to become the sweetest and most tender halva. Only the halva that has been prepared manually, with the observation of ancient traditions and following the original recipes, is regarded as authentic halva. The halva sold at the bazaars of Uzbekistan is prepared in this way!
