Who Need Entry Visas to Uzbekistan

The citizens of all other countries are to obtain an entrance visa to Uzbekistan.

To get a tourist visa to Uzbekistan you are to go through two stages:

1. Obtainment of a visa support letter (permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan).
2. Obtainment of the visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan or, in exceptional cases, at an airport.
Uzbekistan Tourist Visa Invitation Letter Procedure

A Visa Invitation Letter (or a Visa Support Letter) is an official invitation to visit a foreign country; it is in substance an approval of the MFA of Uzbekistan and serves as the qualification for obtaining such a visa.

The Visa Support Letter is issued by a licensed tourism agency, which submits it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan for consideration. The MFA of the Republic of Uzbekistan considers the document for 7 days, after which it forwards a permit to the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the country, where the tourist is going to receive his/her visa.

Note: the Ministry reserves the right to reject any visa invitation letter application without assigning reasons thereof.

Our company does not offer Visa Support as an individual service. We can provide you with an invitation only if you book a tour at our company.

Documents Required for a Visa Invitation Letter

To receive Visa Support you are to fill a visa support application form and send us a scanned copy of your passport. Individual cases may require an employment confirmation letter from your workplace.

As we receive all the required data from you, we issue the visa support letter and submit it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent for consideration. After receiving the permit from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan we send you a telex number (the number of the visa invitation) by e-mail. All this done, you can appeal to the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where you will be asked to fill 2 copies of the application form for obtaining the Uzbekistan tourist visa (visa application form) and to provide the following documents:

Your passport (passport to be valid for at least 3 months beyond the visa expiration date);
2 photos in colour the size of those in your passport;
Invitation approval number (the telex number);
Consular fees payments receipts.

The visa will be issued within 4 days after the submission of all the documents.

Consular Fees

The visa processing consular fees are the following:

Single-entry visas: Multiple-entry visas: Transit visas: Collective visas
(the minimal number of people in a group is 10)
max. 7 days 40 USD max. 6 months 150 USD max. 72 hours 40 USD max. 15 days 15 USD
max. 15 days 50 USD max. 1 year 250 USD two-entry transit visa 50 USD max. 30 days 25 USD

max. 3 months 80 USD
max. 6 months 120 USD
max. 1 year 160 USD

Notes

The visa collection location must be determined (through consultation with our company) before your visa application is submitted to the MFA of Uzbekistan. Once the application is with the ministry, it will be impossible to effect any changes in it; if it needs altering after submission, we shall have to apply to the MFA of Uzbekistan again and wait another week or so.

If you travel with a child (up to 14 years of age), you are to have him/her entered into your passport or to provide him/her with a personal international passport. If a child travels with one of the parents, it is recommended that you have a notarised permission from the second parent to take the child out of his/her native country, which will help avoid problems that may arise at the airport of departure.

When receiving Collective visas please note that the minimal number of people in a group - with the exception of children under the age of 16 who cannot be a group members - is 10.
The list of the documents required for obtaining visas, visa processing periods and consular fees are subject to change as a result of the regulatory practice of the MFA of Uzbekistan.
Central Asia Travel is not liable for the stated visa processing periods delays caused by the MFA of Uzbekistan, as well as for visa rejections by the MFA of Uzbekistan.
If a foreign national abandons the tour services he/she ordered from our company, we terminate Visa Invitation Letter procedure for this individual.
