Tour Program:
Day 1. Dushanbe, arrival.
Arrival in Dushanbe early in the morning. Meet at the airport, transfer to the hotel and rest.
After breakfast meet the guide and start of the city tour in Dushanbe. Visit the following sites: Tajikistan United Museum, including exploring the famous Buddha in Nirvana - one of the most valuable exhibits of museum; Botanical garden; Oriental Bazaar. After lunch transfer 30 km out of the city to visit the ruins of the ancient Hissar Fortress of 18th century; two plain madrasahs of 18th and 19th centuries and mausoleum of 16th century. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Dushanbe

Day 2. Dushanbe - Penjikent (road transfer, 155 km).
Today we make a transfer to Penjikent. Upon arrival start of the city tour in Penjikent. Visit museum of Rudaki (this city is a birthplace of this ancient poet), ruins of ancient Penjikent of 5-8th centuries (foundations of houses, a citadel with a couple of Zoroastrian fire temples and city bazaar are visible in the excavated ruins). Lunch en route. Accommodation at the hotel in the afternoon. Overnight. 

Penjikent

Day 3. Penjikent - Marguzor Lakes (Seven Lakes) - “Jartepa” land border - Samarkand (road transfer, 160 km).
After breakfast transfer to the region of Seven Lakes with a guide. En route visit the ancient settlement of Sarazm with the history of 5500 years of civilization. In 2010 Sarazm settlement was added to the list of the Human heritage sites of UNESCO. Arrival to the region of Haftkul - which is represented by seven lakes of different colors, located in the mountains of Tajikistan. Picnic at one of the most beautiful lakes in Tajikistan. After lunch transfer to “Jartepa” land border and formalities; meet local driver and guide and further transfer to Samarkand. Upon arrival accommodation at the hotel, rest and overnight.

Marguzor Lakes

Day 4. Samarkand (sightseeing).
Breakfast at the hotel.
Sightseeing program in Samarkand at 10:00 AM: the most impressive square in the entire Central Asia - the Registan Square (Ulugbek Madrasah, Sher-Dor Madrasah, Tilya-Kori Madrasah), Gur-e Amir mausoleum - necropolis of the Timurids.
After lunch continuation of sightseeing program in Samarkand: Bibi-Khanym mosque, architectural ensemble Shah-i-Zinda, Ulugbek observatory. Overnight at the hotel.

Samarkand

Day 5. Samarkand - Bukhara (300 km, 4-5 hrs).
Breakfast at the hotel.
Check-out at 08:00 AM and a group gathering in the hotel lobby.
Transfer to Bukhara. Check-in at a hotel upon arrival in Bukhara.
After lunch sightseeing program in Bukhara: Lyab-i Hauz Architectural Ensemble, Kukeldash Madrasah, Nadir Divan-Begi Madrasah, domed shopping arcade. Visiting a showroom of Bukhara golden-embroidered factory and Karakul dressing (astrakhan fur) workshop.
Overnight at the hotel.

Bukhara

Day 6. Bukhara (sightseeing).
►For 7-days program: Transfer to Tashkent.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Continuation of sightseeing program in Bukhara: Mausoleum of Samanids, Chashma Ayub Mausoleum, Bolo-Khauz Complex, Ark Citadel, Po-i-Kalyan Complex, Abdulaziz-Khan Madrasah, Ulugbek Madrasah.
After lunch out-of-town guided sightseeing tour (4 km from Bukhara): Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa Palace, memorial complex of the Islamic saint Baha-ud-Din Naqshband. Return to Bukhara.
Overnight at the hotel.
►For 6-days program:
Transfer by train to Tashkent. On arrival check-in and overnight at the hotel.

Bukhara

Day 7. Bukhara - Khiva (440 km, 8-9 hrs).
►For 7-days program: Departure from Tashkent
Breakfast at the hotel.
At 08:00 AM start of ride across the famous Kyzyl-Kum desert and along the Amudarya River. Lunch en route.
Arrival in Khiva. Leisure time. Visiting the souvenir shops and workshops. Overnight at the hotel.
►For 7-days program:
Departure from Tashkent airport.

Kyzyl-Kum desert

Day 8. Khiva (sightseeing). Khiva - Urgench - Tashkent (Domestic flight).
Breakfast at the hotel.
A group gathering in the hotel lobby at 09:00 AM.
Sightseeing program in Khiva (Ichan-Kala, historical inner city): Pakhlavan Mahmoud Complex, Kunya-Ark Fortress, Islam Hajji Madrasah & Minaret, Tash Khauli Palace, Alakuli Khan Madrasah, Juma Mosque, Muhammadaminkhan Minaret & Madrasah.
Transfer to Urgench International airport. Evening flight Urgench - Tashkent. Meeting at Tashkent airport. Transfer to a hotel and check-in.

Khiva

Day 9. Tashkent (departure).
Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out of the hotel.
Leisure time without any transport and excursion services. Visiting bazaars and walking around the city are recommended. Transfer to the airport. Departure.

Tashkent

Cost includes:

  • Accommodation at the hotels, mentioned above, or in similar, but of the same category in double/twin rooms with breakfasts, including early check in on day 1 in Dushanbe (after 06:00); check-in at other hotels - at 14:00; check-out - at 12:00;
  • Entrance fees to the monuments and museums in Tajikistan;
  • Services of English-speaking accompanying guide for the whole tour;
  • Comfortable air-conditioned means of transportation throughout the tour, including ‘airport-hotel-airport” transfers;
  • Local flight of Urgench-Tashkent destination (ticket of economy class);
  • Bottle of mineral water per day/per person;

Cost does not include:

  • International airfares;
  • Travel health insurance;
  • Uzbekistan visa invitation and visa fees;
  • Tajikistan visa fee;
  • Photo and video shooting charges at museums and monuments.
