Here we enjoy breathtaking views, crisp mountain air, and cozy cafés with incredible panoramas. After lunch, we return to the city to discover its cultural heart — the Park of 28 Panfilov Soldiers, home to the colorful Ascension Cathedral and the Museum of Musical Instruments. A short walk takes us to the lively Green Bazaar, the perfect place to feel the city’s rhythm, taste local delicacies, and find authentic souvenirs. | Day 2. | Almaty, day trip to Charyn National Park. After an early breakfast, we set out for one of Kazakhstan’s true natural wonders — Charyn Canyon, often called the “little brother” of the Grand Canyon. The drive takes about 3–4 hours, offering beautiful steppe landscapes along the way. We arrive at the canyon’s most famous part — the Valley of Castles, where nature has sculpted fantastic formations that look like ancient fortresses. Together, we walk down into the gorge (around 2 km each way) to reach the Charyn River, taking time to enjoy the views, take photos, and listen to fascinating stories from our guide about how this place was formed millions of years ago. For those who prefer, an eco-taxi ride is available instead of walking. After a picnic lunch by the river and some rest, we head back to Almaty in the evening, full of impressions from this unforgettable day in nature. Overnight in Almaty. Meals: breakfast, lunch. |
