Pamir Hotel is located in the very center of high-altitude Murghab, directly on the M41 Pamir Highway, at an elevation of about 3,600 meters above sea level. In the conditions of the Eastern Pamirs, this location is particularly important: the hotel serves as a convenient stop for travelers crossing one of the most remote and impressive road routes in Central Asia. Tour groups, independent travelers, motorcyclists, cyclists and expedition members traveling between Khorog and Osh stay here.
Over the years, the hotel has become a well-known stop on the M41. One of its most distinctive features is the glass entrance area, where travelers and expedition members leave stickers from different countries. This unusual “travelers’ wall” has gradually become one of the details that convey the atmosphere of the Pamir Highway. During the warm season, the hotel is in high demand, so it is advisable to arrange accommodation in advance.
The main building offers simple twin rooms with two separate beds. Some rooms have a private shower and toilet, while others use shared bathroom facilities on the floor. Traditional yurts are also available in the courtyard — an option for guests who would like to combine an overnight stay along the route with elements of the local way of life. The rooms are heated, which is especially important in Murghab: even in summer, nighttime temperatures at an altitude of 3,600 meters can be low.
