Video: Baku. The City of the Future

Fascinating views of the capital of the "country of fire"

Baku is known as the largest city in the Caucasus, the largest port on the Caspian Sea and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Baku means "the place of God" and this city truly deserves its name. Its supernal loveliness gives a thrill to everyone who gets into its space.

Azerbaijan is often called the "country of fire" because oil and gas deposits are located close to the surface bursting outward in the form of torches of fire. The symbol of Baku is “Fire Towers” which lighting is considered to be the best in the world. The buildings of “Fire Towers” are overlaid with LED screens which broadcast a flame seen from all over the city. Moreover the city is so illuminated that it makes Baku to over shine to many kilometers.

In this video you can enjoy fascinating daytime and nocturnal shots of Baku attractions: you will see the very same "Fire Towers", the Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev, Government House, television tower, Nizami Street as well as key places of Azerbaijan such as the Gobustan reserve, the Caspian Sea, majestic mountains and much more.
