1. How to apply for participation in the program?
It is very simple: if you have decided to visit Altai for ascending Belukha under the guidance of experienced climbers, simply inform us in written notification on the E-mail address of department of active programs which is on our website. Please inform us in the letter which of combined groups you would like to join (for every combined group there are fixed dates of program). In the case you are not alone and want to come with friends inform us on the number of people in your party. You are also requested to forward to us scanned copy of your passport and information about your residence registration and place of birth. All the other detail will be made clear for you with the help of our tour operators.

2. What are demands for the participants?
The expedition will be carried on under the leadership of experienced travelers, but for the Alpinist ascending it is necessary to have some specific skills and powers of endurance. All these skills you will acquire during ice and rock trainings under the leadership of instructor. But the personal physical fitness should not be forgotten. Help during daily bivouac works is a must. Food is prepared on campfire by cook, but during the time of ascending, the participants cook food on their own on gas burner in tent. Taking into account that the region is in the mountains, it is necessary to consult with the doctor. The compulsory vaccination against mite-borne encephalitis should be done not less than twenty days prior arrival for the program.
The expedition conditions imply disregard for comfort.

3. What equipment is necessary to have?
The extreme and unpredictable weather, high altitude and expedition style demand reliable equipment. To get successfully to the very summit, you should always have with you the following things: mountain high - altitude plastic boots, tracking boots with a size a bit bigger than usual. Footwear should be loose - fitting but it shouldn’t create discomfort while walking; leggings; shoe covers especially for the altitudes higher than 4500 m; warm mittens; powder-puff; warm trousers; gloves; fur - cap; sun protection cap; wind breaking costume; warm wool socks (2 - 3 pairs), warm sweater; sunglasses (one spare).

Sunblock, hygienic lipstick, mask for face protecting; jacket and trousers from membranous fabric; sleeping bag (with weight 2 - 3 kg. with high - quality stuff for the temperature -10C, - -20 C). Telescopic ski sticks; Vacuum flask; Forehead lamp; Personal high-altitude first - aid set; Rucksack with the volume of 60 - 100 liters; High - altitude tent.

4. What is the order of paper work for getting admission to the borderland?
most important is the borderland. Foreigner should submit documents for getting the pass 60 days prior beginning of the trip, citizens of Russia-  30 days before, the legislation is possible upon arrival to the check - point, but this will demand some time. The required documents that should be sent to us are: scanned copies of passports colored and of good quality) and also information of residence and place of birth.

5. How does the insurance work in the case of contingency?
It does and very effectively… The transportation on helicopter and rescue works costs are included. The sum insured and insurance coverage sum are rather considerable. In the case of extraordinary situation guides can get in contact with insurance company by satellite telephone and the company will call helicopter. The insurance is compulsory and it is included in the cost of the tour.

6. How to pay for the tour?
There are three variants at your choice:
- Payment can be done by bank remittance to our account;
- Payment in cash upon arrival;
- 50% per 50%.

7. Are there any discounts and who can get it?
Yes discounts can be granted. All the questions in regard of possible discounts are discussed individually in the process of preliminary E-mail.

8. What vehicles are used during the journey Barnaul-Tungur-Barnaul?
Mitsubishi Delica 4x4 are used for the vehicle part of the tour. These expedition minibuses were specially prepared for maximum comfort and safe driving along impassibility roads.
Every vehicle has a special expedition baggage trunk for equipment, additional headlights. The vehicle has air conditioner, 2 heaters of increased capacity, adapter from 12V to 220V for charging any photo or video equipment, comfortable seats. Suspension bracket and running gear were specially modernized, that improves reliability and exploiting characteristics of the vehicle. Our all-wheel drive minibuses are reliable with maximum comfort and were specially prepared for long driving through cross-country. This model in particular has impeccably showed itself in many expeditions no matter is it mountains and rocky deserts of Central Asia or ice-coated mountain serpentine roads of Altai, Tuva. Our drivers are professional travelers while participants take the passengers’ seats.

9. What is the situation with meals?
Hot meals will be served on the tracking part of the program in the Base camp on the lake Ak - Kem. In the base camp on the lake Ak - Kem meals are prepared by cooks, then we eat sitting on chairs in saloon - tent. After depart for Tomsk camps, all participants live in tents by two persons. And here is what each “two” gets: food (sublimated stuff it is a hot food + sausage, cheese, canned fish, ring - shaped cracknels, crackers, chocolate, dried fruits) set of gas table ware, gas jet and two gas container 450 gram each). After short instruction during all the time of ascending participants cook food on their own till, return to the base camp on Ak - Kem.

10. What are the weather conditions en route?
The best time for ascending Belukha is March and also July, August and the first weeks of September, in particular in this time the weather is more or less stable and to some extend predictable, sunny. Day time temperature on tracking is +20 C, +23 C, night time temperature +13 C, +15 C. the temperature at an altitude of 3000 and more is +5C, +12C, and during the night the temperature can drop till -7 C. Certainly the weather cannot be the same every year, and it presents sometimes surprises.

* Comment: The ascending will be undertaken in the extremely high-altitude region of Altai Republic, that’s why en route of expedition some alterations are possible and actions can proceed from situation!
