In accordance with legislation of Republic of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens and persons without citizenship may enter in Uzbekistan and follow in transit throughout its territory only in the presence of entrance visa. Visa of Republic of Uzbekistan is issued on the basis of visa support. The issuance of visa support (visa invitation) takes 10 working days.

To the foreign citizens and persons without citizenship visa is issued in legations and consular office of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign countries on the basis of visa support (confirmation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Visa support is issued on the basis of petition of inviting artificial and natural persons (in this case travel company), constantly or temporarily situated on the territory of Uzbekistan, presented in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Uzbekistan.

For receiving of tourist visa, the visa invitation is issued by travel company, which in this case is inviting party. For the execution inviting letter it is desirable in a month before the estimated travel to send us following information about you:

• Full name;
• Citizenship;
• Date and the place of birth (Please, state a certain country and city);
• Serial number of passport;
• Passport issue date;
• Passport expire date;
• Home address and phone number;
• The place of work, the name of employing company, its full address, phone number and work status;
• Preferable place of receiving the visa;
• Periods of stay in Uzbekistan;
• Passport scanned copy of good quality.

Foreign citizens requires for receive the visa to present in diplomatic legation or consular office of Uzbekistan in foreign countries the following documents:

• Passport or document of person without citizenship, expiration date of which must surpass expiration date of visa not less than three months;
• Filled up visa form in duplicate;
• 2 colored photographs of passport size.

Request of receiving of visa support.

On the basis of presented information by you, travel company prepares visa application and pass it to MFA of Republic of Uzbekistan, reserving to itself right to decline the application without any explanations. Approved visa support is immediately sending by telex to the Uzbekistan embassy of the country where is planned to receive visa. From our part we inform you about a number of approving invitation. After receiving of invitation number (telex) you must fill the form in Uzbekistan embassy in the country where you intend to obtain visa in Uzbekistan, and having presented form with invitation, to obtain your visa.

In accordance with legislation of Republic of Uzbekistan, the local travel organization has right to file an application on visa (invitation) not earlier than one month before arriving.

Visa support in Uzbekistan is not provided as individual service, but in the case if client buys tour package or accommodation on the period of residence in country. Tourist visa can not be issued for more than one month.

The cost of visa support: is 50 US dollars for up to two weeks (for children up to 12 years - 15 US dollars).

It is necessary to mention that consular fees are additionally paid in embassy or consular office of Uzbekistan in the setting of visa receive that varies from 40 to 160 US dollars, depending on the citizenship and period of residence in the country.

For receive the transit visa, foreign citizens and persons without citizenship, besides aforesaid documents, must have visa of statement of route and travel documents with approved date of departure from Uzbekistan to the country of route. Period of inquiry of visa documents in this case is three days.

Foreign citizens and persons without citizenship, intending to arrive in Uzbekistan from the country, where is not diplomatic legislation or consular office of Uzbekistan, may obtain visas upon arrival in the sector of visa support of MFA of Republic of Uzbekistan in the international airport “Tashkent”.

For that inviting artificial or natural person (travel company) situated on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, must beforehand to request in determinate order in MFA of Republic of Uzbekistan, to receive the respective affirmation (stamp) of department of visa provide of consular directorate and address it to invited person. This affirmation is proffered by invited person at the air ticket obtaining, examination of passport check-point in the country of arrival and on its basis there issued visa by arrival in the sector of visa provide of MFA of Republic of Uzbekistan in the international airport “Tashkent”.

Legislation of Republic of Uzbekistan set following tariffs of consular fees for the issuance of visas:

a) For single entry visas:

• Up to 7 days - 40 US dollars;
• Up to 15 days - 50 US dollars;
• Up to 30 days - 60 US dollars;
• Up to 3 months - 80 US dollars;
• Up to 6 months - 120 US dollars;
• Up to 1 year - 160 US dollars.

Annotation: for every additional multiplicity of visa, the rate of tariff increases on 10 USA dollars.

b) For multi-entry visas:

• Up to 6 months – 150 US dollars;
• Up to 1 year - 250 US dollars.

c) For transit visas:

• Up to 24 hours - 20 US dollars;
• Up to 48 hours – 25 US dollars;
• Up to 72 hours – 30 US dollars;
• For double transit visa - 40 US dollars.

d) For group visas (there must be not less 10 persons in a group, excepting children up to 16 years old):

• Up to 15 days – 15 USA dollars from every person;
• Up to 30 days - 25 USA dollars.

At the visa issuance the duties are also levied for compensation of actual charges, connected with visas issuance. The measures of these duties depends on the place of visas issuance (independently of citizenship of applicant).

Annotation: For citizens of the statements with which there are appropriate bilateral agreements and arrangements, there may be foreseen different order of issuance the entry visa in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Visa order with certain statements.

1. Bilateral visa-free regime has been set with the following statements:

• Kyrgyzstan (up to 60 days);
• Azerbaijan;
• Armenia;
• Belarus;
• Georgia;
• Kazakhstan;
• Moldova;
• Russia;
• Ukraine.

2. Simplified order of visa issuance is set of citizens of the following statements:

• Austria;
• Belgium;
• France;
• Germany;
• Italy;
• Japan;
• Latvia;
• Malaysia;
• Spain;
• Switzerland;
• United Kingdom.

Multi-entry visas are given to the tourists of these countries on the period up to 1 month, and to the representatives of business communities - up to 1 year (Malaysian - up to 6 months), and there is not required tour-voucher of petition of inviting of legal or natural person in Uzbekistan in MFA of the Republic of Uzbekistan, i.e. visa support. Visas are issued during 2 working days, not counting the day of documents receiving.

3. Visa-free regime for diplomatic passport holders is set with the following countries:

• Tajikistan (up to 30 days);
• Republic of Korea (up to 60 days);
• Brasilia;
• Hungary;
• Romania;
• Slovakia;
• Turkey;
• People"s Republic China (up to 90 days).

The citizens of these countries, holding diplomatic passports and being accredited in the capacity of the staff of diplomatic representatives or consular offices of their countries, situated on the territory of Parties and members of their families have a right to enter and stay without visas during all period of work.

4. Visa-free regime for service passport holders is set with the countries:

• Turkmenistan (up to 30 days);
• Romania;
• Slovakia (up to 90 days).

5. Uzbekistan and Japan on bilateral basis issue the visas without levying of consular fees.
